:-) Thanks for your kind words.

Stephen, you have NO idea how ironic your "God but you're slow" comment is- the painting "Raine II" was begun January 21, 2008, and finished THREE WEEKS LATER, February 15, 2008.

If you think THAT'S fast, "Raine" was begun June 1, 2007 and was HANGING in the gallery, dry AND framed, June 14, 2007!!!! TEN DAYS from start to finish, a day of drying time, and two days to frame and deliver it. Did I mention that I also work full-time as a tattooer and paint on my days off and sometimes in the evenings after work?

No, I have no idea how I went from "Post-Beauty" taking over 120 hours and four months, to "Raine" and "Raine II" taking 30-35 hours each (and being more "successful" paintings!), but that's what it's come to at this point. I just LOVE alkyd resin and a properly warm studio to speed drying time. Gamblin's "Galkyd" medium mixed with about 15% Gamsol- to knock down the shine -is the most amazing stuff ever invented- it's tacky in just a couple of hours, and dry to the touch overnight (not solvent resistant though,

Gods, but I love having adequate, heated studio space with other serious painters working around me. I'm gonna be REALLY disappointed when I've gotta clear out of there in late July and find another studio space (and, hopefully, serious studio partners to work with). I'm actually expecting to freak out when I've gotta move. Ugh.

        Respect,

        T
